Notice of Special Meeting
The Jackson County Land Conservation and Agriculture Committee is hosting a meeting with the
Jackson County Board, Jackson County municipal officials and the Wisconsin Department of Natural
Resources staff to discuss the concerns that have been listed in resolutions and passed by county
municipalities regarding elk management and elk damage that has occurred in the County.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff will present information related to various
questions and concerns that have been addressed to them by the resolutions. This meeting is for
informational purposes. No action is scheduled by the Land Conservation and Agriculture Committee
or the Jackson County Board during this meeting.
Call to Order – Ron Carney – Chair - Jackson County Land Conservation and Agriculture Committee
Presentation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WI-DNR) staff to the Jackson County
Board members and County municipalities regarding the elk management program in Jackson County.
Questions and discussion with the WI-DNR and the Land Conservation and Agriculture Committee will
be limited to those elected municipal officials that have submitted resolutions.

Agriculture Committee and/or the full County Board may also be present at the above-mentioned
meeting. There will not be any formal discussion, or any official action taken of any pending or
future matters pertaining to Jackson County under the authority of any committee and/or Board
other than Land Conservation and Agriculture Committee matters posted on this agenda.
